Metapribor, Novosibirsk, Russia

Metapribor is one of the leading construction companies in Novosibirsk, Russia. They came with idea of new generation of web2.0 realty portal system. The system's purpose is to provide all actors of realty market of Novosibirsk(for first stage, after launch they going to cover all big cities in Russia) with a handy and useful tool to buy, sell and rent apartments and link private persons and agencies together. Key features of this system are the following: geo-search, based on GIS data; integrated Google Maps are used for search and displaying of the search results; intelligent monitoring of spam offers. Rest features: AJAX user interface, integration with GEO-IP providers, GIS data providers, SMPP gates(SMS notifications), RSS feeds for new offers and saved search criterias, internal messaging system.

The system was designed and implemented from scratch. By marketing reasons the system is not publicly available yet, Metapribor is goin to launch it Summer,2008.

Saloob's expertise is IT consulting and system integration. They were our client for several times. Here is a brief description of jobs we made for them:

  • IYP eCommerce Platform Solution.

    IYP is a eCommerce platform for virtual payments. We've been working on a maintainace of the system and it covered the following aspects: a refactoring of whole the source code of the system, migration of the system from Java 1.4 to Java 6 and from MySQL 3.x to MySQL 5.x, replacing SHIFT_JIS(local Japanese character set) with UTF-8 as a generic system's character set and introducing support of multilingual user interface.

  • Open-Xchange Management API

    Open-Xchange is a open source groupware and actually it is one of main Microsoft Ex- change competitors. We developed a set of management API for Open-Xchange Hosting Edition to provide an nice and flexible way to integrate Open-Xchange management operations into existing set of hosting products used by Saloob, such as in-house developed integration solution ZaBridge, Parallels(former SWSoft) Plesk and Parallels HSPC. The API is a Java based XML-RPC service.

  • Parralels Plesk And ZaBridge Integration API

    Plesk is a control panel solution and it is used by leading hosting providers worldwide for shared, virtual and dedicated hosting. Saloob offers a Plesk-based solutions also. We developed a set of API for Plesk based on Plesk's custom XML-RPC to manage mail-related operations in Plesk from ZaBridge.

Form-Factor, Novosibirsk, Russia

Form-Factor is a hi-tech broadcasting hardware manufacturer. They came up with a request for development of software for management, monitoring and configuration(about 250 parameters and adjustable graphs) of digital TV exciters they produce. This project had 2 stages, initially it was required to develop a Desktop rich application and it was supposed to contribute it on a CDs in bundle with device itself. We developed a Swing application for this purposes. After first stage was complete and accepted, they changed their mind and decided to replace a Desktop application with embedded one. The exciter device has on-board Lantronix XPort to provide network connectivity and we developed embedded client-server application which consist of server part written in special dialect of C language, and client part written in JavaScript/HTML. Client part is AJAX-enabled web application. Now all Form-Factor's exciters are shipped with embedded software developed by Go4.
